This memory popped up on my Facebook feed this morning. It was a heroic feat from 4 years ago—and still fondly remembered! 😊
From today in 2015:
Don is my hero! Tonight, while I was hard at work on my resume, my beloved deftly leapt under the table with a butterfly net and scooped up a GIANT cockroach. It was the size of a small cow! This was not a normal Tucson tiny brown roach (which, by the way, I have NEVER seen in 7 years in this house). Oh no, it was not. I swear we could have milked it and made ice cream!
Anyway, flinging furniture left and right, with amazing agility and grace, Don rescued (me from the) giant roach and then delivered our mammal-like roommate safely down the street to an absent neighbor’s front yard. (Shhh, don’t tell.) And, after all that, I actually got right back to work on that resume and finished it! . . . I just hope Bovine Roach didn’t have any relatives!
